It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...These are the days of our lives!

If it ain't one thing, it's another!

I don't know if I mentioned earlier, but besides getting rid of the sauna, we had some plumbing problems. The pipes coming from the water main started to leak in several places. So after calling a plumber who qouted a pretty penny, I turned to friends and neighbors who said they could help me fix it for less. But it seemed like everyone was busy and the leak was getting worse so I called another plumber who did it for a little less. A LITTLE! Still sucked! But it needed to be done. So our yard looked nice and decorated for a day.

"Thanks anyway!"

That's what the girls would say when rejected by, well mostly male shoppers at the grocerystore.

Rebecca and her friend Jackie sold a lot of cookies. In fact, their troop sold all of them that day. They did a great job. Who could resist these faces! Such monkies.

Weird Science... well not so weird, but FUN!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Rebecca participated in the science fair this year and her subject was cats and why they purr. Guess who some of her rescources where. Yep, Mom and Doc where interviewed as part of the study. The fair was cool. There was popcorn and hot dogs. Popcorn was spilled by all and Ben was there to grab it off the floor and sample the free droppings. There was even a bald scientist who did a lot of fun things like levitate a parent with a vaccum (however you spell it). And he used a garbage can to shoot smoke streaks into the air. It was fun. Then Ben had a meltdown because he didn't want all the fun to end. It was late. Enjoy the pics!

Bye!

There goes the sauna, there goes the side of the house, there goes the fence, there goes my heart. Kidding! Last weekend Mom and Doc came over and took the 1980's style jacoosie, or jack-u-zee, the sauna. A lot easier said than done. It was quite an event moving at about 5 inches an hour. But we did it. With a lot of hard work from us all and our neighbor, Joe! The thing was so heavy that it broke the cart that Doc made. It kind of rubbed the corner of the roof as we edged it through the 8 foot passage way by the house. Then came the fence. That was the easy part. Since the previous owners did a poor job of building the gate area, we just picked it up and moved it. The wood only 3 to 4 years old and already rotted at the bottom of the posts. Mom pulled the sauna out with the truck and we tipped it onto the trailer (provided by Harry Potter) and that was that.

Ready to BLOW!

Here's Ben ready to blow out his birthday cake. He's got his tool box just in case.
